A demonstration of the "Swan", an amphibious DUKW fitted with a 100ft extensible ladder. The clip comes from a 1945 film following a combined exercise using US troops to trial new methods of amphibious attack against cliff coastlines, thus overcoming restrictions imposed upon conventional operations by a shortage of good beach exits.
