1950 Crosley Hot Shot. unwrapped from a long sleep, it started up and ran perfectly. this one is heavily modified, with a bit larger engine from a bearcat boat, bigger than the original 500 cc. These engines revved to 8000 or higher, there’s no head gasket, kind of like a Bugatti engine, even has an overhead cam and disc brakes in 1950! they were a great car during and just after World War II, but when americans started getting money and wanted bigger cars, nobody wanted the crosleys anymore and

1928 Crossley OE128. Larger diameter air start supply pipe fitted injector needle slightly lapped in ( using oil only as per the book not abrasives) but still not atomising very well. Fortunately we have 8 similar if not the same injector from what was a running engine before it was decommissioned to try next week. So here’s late Friday’s attempt to get the Crossley to run, note she now turning faster and the exhaust is not quite as white but she doesn’t quite want to fire! Combustion hopefully
